Business Spotlight: Betsy’s Barn

Betsy’s Barn was built in 1999 by the Amish and has been proving an original and unique venue to celebrate the most important days of your life! It has been a family run business that includes Breakneck Campground (est. in 2000). Betsy’s Barn is a multifunctional, multi-seasonal barn and can accommodate up to 300 people. Featuring a large wrap around porch completely under roof that houses modern bathroom facilities, a bar area, open air lounge and glass enclosed deck, giving you 7000 sq. feet of rustic beauty! During the months of May through August it is a host to many wedding ceremonies, receptions, class reunions, proms and other large gatherings. Boasting a kitchen in the lower level where all of the food is prepared, making it easy to host events.

In addition to the barn kitchen, they recently built a smaller timber framed barn that contains a wood fired brick oven to bake bread and pizza. Other events Betsy’s Barn is famous for is their annual “Pumpkin Festival” and “Cheeseman Fright Farm”. Fall festivals are held September through October throughout the entire Cheeseman Farm that is the home to Betsy’s Barn.

Also on the farm is Breakneck Campground and is a favorite among kayakers and fishermen. Cabins and camping are available along Cheeseman Run. Breakneck Lodge is an excellent choice for smaller gatherings including bridal or baby showers, graduation or retirement parties and smaller more personnel weddings. Topping it off it’s surrounded by McConnells Mill State Park in beautiful Lawrence County!
