Moraine at 50
Moraine State Park will celebrate 50 years in 2020. Come and find out how today’s pristine park was formed from land that had been drilled for oil, mined for coal, had swampy areas and farmland, and had been crossed by a railroad. The one-hour program will be presented at McDanel’s Pavilion #7.
Taking place under a roof, rain or shine! Polly Shaw, author of Images of Modern America, Moraine State Park, will lead the program with many pictures and stories of the creation of one of the largest state parks in PA. Come and celebrate the first day of summer at Moraine State Park.
